Being a filmmaker has been an amazing life journey.  My work is focused lately on producing positive social impact through video content, films, documentaries and episodic shows that help us realize a climate-stabilized and just world. I'm an optimist and hopeaholic that firmly believes that a sustainable future is absolutely within our reach.

Over the past 15 years, I have worked on media teams ranging from 2-300 people across 4 continents. I'm a collaborative creative who has worked most of the years behind a camera lens as a Cinematographer and Documentary Director of Photography.  More recently, I've grown into a short form Executive and Creative Video Producer, Video Director, and Communications Director for all types of packages of content.

A few years back, I founded a digital media firm: called Ecodeo (www.ecodeo.co) that produces ecoAds, advocacy, eco-storytelling, mini-documentaries, ecomentary series, animations, video marketing, I-Docs , and various packages of video communications designed to work in tandem with larger digital strategies in order to amplify sustainable solutions, products and brands. The company is a proud certified B Corporation, and our mission maintains equal responsibility to community and to the planet.

In addition to being the CEO of Ecodeo, I continue to freelance on select documentary projects or impact-oriented long-form projects as a Director of Photography, Cinematographer, Camera Operator, or/and consult as a Creative or Communications Director on select campaigns. In my career, I've worked for a United Nations reporting team at the Institute for Sustainable Development Reporting Services (IISDRS) documenting and reporting on International UN Sustainable Development meetings across the world, which continues to inform my current work. One of the most memorable moments for me was working behind the camera at the 2015 Paris Climate talks when the Paris Agreement was solidified. Before that, I worked on the National Digital Team for President Obama’s re-election campaign as a Director of Photography. It was one of the great honors of my life to film President Obama, VP Joe Biden, First Lady Michelle Obama, officials, veterans and celebrities while traveling extensively (i.e, 15 months straight) across the US making mini-documentaries on the campaign trail. The Campaign's digital platform and 300+ team, won a Webby Award &  earned over 300+ million views and was groundbreaking in terms of political digital strategy, which influenced my skill-set and knowledge a great deal. I've lived in LA, NY, SF and have  worked on teams behind the camera for syndicated networks,  award winning production companies, clients & advertising agencies. I've been in just about every field situation you can imagine. Over the years, I've been a key player on projects that have earned  International film festival awards and nominated for Emmy's and screened at film festivals such as Sundance, AFI, HotDocs and sold to networks such as Netflix, PBS, Sundance Channel, Amazon, ITunes, GooglePlay and Vudu.

I have and will take crazy risks for impactful storytelling.  If the storytelling can make a positive difference out there, it's worth almost whatever it takes. I'm grateful,  passionate and truly love what I do. I currently split my time on projects mostly out of NY and CA, yet also have worked globally. I'm an outdoor enthusiast, dog lover, enjoy wildlife photography, hiking and sailing on open waters.  I cherish being off the grid in any protected ecosystem with no cell reception and love spending down time with family, friends, colleagues and social impact folks!

I had the pleasure of working with Liz on a number of different projects, including at the UNFCCC COP21 in Paris, when I was her manager. Liz shoots extraordinarily beautiful images. Her creativity and dedication enriched our products and she was especially good working with clients. After two weeks of intense work, I was proud of what we had accomplished. To this day I still refer people back to her work from the COP as examples of great storytelling.
— International Sustainable Development Expert, Manager and Entrepreneur
Liz was an extremely hard worker, dedicated to the cause, and always looking for better and innovative ways to produce our pieces. She was always researching for additional (and inexpensive) gear or other solutions to getting the best shots possible when we had limited scouting access and even less time to set-up. She is very conscientious about her work and strives for the best looking footage.
— Line Producer, Obama Campaign National Video Team
Liz’s beautiful cinematography stood out on President Obama’s 2012 campaign. She was positive, fun to work with, and always had her eye on the common goal. Liz and I often collectively worked late tweaking our work because of her keen eye for perfection - and it always paid off. I would recommend her to anyone as a valuable team asset and visionary DP!
— Editor, Obama Re-election Campaign
We have worked with Liz and Ecodeo on two major videos over past two years. We recommend her highly. She and her team produce excellent work at a reasonable cost. Liz herself is creative, flexible, very energetic, and always a pleasure to work with.
— Program Director of Trust for Public Land
LIZ is hard-working, smart and professional and continues to think with her eyes and camera throughout a shoot. She has a brilliant eye for the right angle and then another one that is more inventive. Liz is always willing to try something challenging or difficult. She is tremendously focused, strong and flexible as a cinematographer.
